Tom Lutz is the new General Manager at Cru. Tom is a native of northeast Ohio. Anyone who is familiar with fine dining in the Cleveland is familiar with the restaurants that Gamekeeper’s Hospitality, an establishment Tom founded in 1976, has owned and operated. These include eateries such as the Inn at Chagrin, Welshfield Inn in Hiram, and 87 West Wine Bar at Crocker Park. Cru is fortunate to have Tom bring his more than 40 years of industry experience to another fine dining success story for the metropolitan Cleveland area.
John Stropki is the Executive Head Chef at Cru Uncorked. A Cleveland native, John studied at The Culinary Institute of America and The French Pastry School. He apprenticed with American Culinary Federation and has experience in a variety of hospitality offerings including hotels, restaurants, clubs and corporate dining. The artistry of the craft drew him to the industry after high school. He is passionate about plate design, pastry proficiency and culinary education. As the Executive Head Chef at Cru Uncorked, John feels blessed to express his vision as a chef work while working with the highest integrity ingredients at this world-class organization.
Robert Sutt is the Assistant General Manager at Cru Uncorked. Robert grew up in San Diego, immersed in the beach culture of California. During his thirty-year career in the restaurant industry he has lived and worked in regions around the country including the West Coast, the Gulf Coast, the Midwest and Hawaii. In Cleveland, Robert has devoted his skills to some of the most well known establishments in the fine dining category. He is honored to be a member of the originating team at Cru Uncorked and to help create the region’s finest, formal service dining experience.
Bill Cutler is the Assistant Manager at Cru Uncorked. Born in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, Bill grew up in Cleveland and studied at the International Culinary Arts and Sciences Institute in Chesterland, Ohio. His passion for restaurant hospitality led him to study in Florence Italy and to work for some of Northeast Ohio’s most renowned restaurateurs. Opening Cleveland’s finest high-end service restaurant has been a long-held goal that Bill credits reaching to the support of his family and friends.
